Statement on the increase of tariffs by POTRAZ

It is a very oppressive move done by the Zimbabwean government through the telecoms board (POTRAZ). This move by POTRAZ clearly shows that the Zim government does not have citizens heart and they are trying to rob the poor.

They have completely failed to provide employment for the citizens and the citizens have since started dependence on affordable means of communication (social media). This is completely inhuman and as the Unemployed Youths we can not sit and watch these thrives draining our little income through high tariffs.

The government is trying to suppress the ease of communication on social platforms such as Facebook and WhatsApp which has been a threat on the failed regime under Robert Mugabe for the past months.

Econet’s data tariffs have already escalated to unaffordable prices. As unemployed youths we ate hoping that other Telecom companies (Telecel and Netone) will not follow this diabolic act on social data tariffs.
